We collect what we need to answer you, run the service and keep it secure. We don’t sell personal information, analytics stays off until you accept it, and, depending on where you live, you can ask us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.
Who is responsible
Pleezpay is responsible for the personal information we collect through this website, in sales conversations, through partnership and broker enquiries, and in running our own business. You can reach us at [email protected].
When we process payment or shopper information for a business customer, that customer usually decides why and how the information is processed, so it is the controller (or “business”). We act as its processor (or “service provider”) under the customer agreement and the data processing terms that go with it.
What we collect
- Contact and work details: name, work email, company, role, website and the markets you serve.
- Enquiry and commercial details: payment volumes, the providers you use today, what you need from us, partnership ideas and our correspondence with you.
- Technical website data: IP address, browser and device details, the pages you request, timestamps, security logs and your consent choice.
- Account and platform data from customers and their authorised users: credential metadata, configuration, payment event data, webhook records, support requests and audit history.
- Information we receive from service providers, partners, payment providers or public business sources, where that is allowed.
Please don’t send card numbers, bank credentials, government identifiers or other sensitive personal information through our general enquiry forms.
How and why we use it
- To answer enquiries, give demos, assess partnerships and take steps towards a contract.
- To provide, secure, support, troubleshoot and improve the platform and its documentation.
- To sign users in, prevent misuse, keep audit records and protect our systems and customers.
- To run customer and partner relationships, billing, compliance requests and our legal obligations.
- With your consent, to measure how people use this website through analytics. Analytics does not load before you consent.
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims and to enforce our agreements.
Depending on the situation and the law that applies, we rely on your consent, on steps you asked for before a contract, on performing a contract, on our legal obligations, or on legitimate interests such as running and securing a business-to-business service.
Who we share it with
We may share information with:
- vendors that process it for us: infrastructure, hosting, email, communications, analytics, security, professional advisers and other business services;
- connected payment providers, when a workflow a customer has authorised needs it;
- authorities or other parties, where the law requires it; and
- the other party to a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets, with appropriate safeguards.
We don’t sell personal information for money, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Google Tag Manager may load consented analytics on our marketing pages. It is never loaded on the hosted payment page.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and some of our service providers process information in other countries. Where transfer restrictions apply, we use a legally recognised transfer mechanism, or another basis the law permits for that relationship.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purpose we collected it for. That includes the length of an enquiry or contract, security and audit needs, dispute and limitation periods, tax and accounting duties, and backup cycles. Retention periods differ by type of record and by customer agreement. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it, unless the law or a legal hold requires us to keep it.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures suited to the information and the service. No system is completely secure. The controls in place today, and their limits, are described on our Security page.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal information, to object to how we use it, to get a copy of it, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a privacy regulator. California residents may also ask what we collect, use and disclose, and ask us to correct or delete it, to the extent the relevant law applies. We don’t treat you differently for using a privacy right.
Send requests to [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity and your authority to make the request. If we process your information for one of our customers, we may pass your request to that customer.
Cookies and analytics
Necessary local storage remembers your analytics choice. Optional analytics stays off until you accept it, and you can change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer. The Cookie notice has the details.
Children and changes
Our services are for businesses, not children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. We may update this notice as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the current version.
